About Yumebana
Yumebana is a B2B wholesale marketplace connecting Korean indie cosmetic brands directly to verified spa, aesthetician, and beauty boutique buyers in Southeast Asia. The platform exists because the long-tail of Korean indie cosmetics — brands with strong domestic validation on Hwahae but no Olive Young Global distribution — has no clean path to reach Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, or Philippine buyers without going through daigou markups or counterfeit-prone marketplaces.
What Yumebana does
- Verifies both sides. Every Korean brand is checked against the Korean tax-office (국세청) registration. Every Southeast Asian buyer uploads a local business registration document (Vietnam ĐKKD, Indonesia NIB, Thailand บริษัท, Philippines DTI) before catalog access is unlocked.
- Holds payment in escrow. Stripe Connect holds the buyer's payment until the buyer marks the order received. Funds settle to the brand in KRW via Wise at mid-market rate.
- Handles customs and freight. Yumebana is the importer of record on the Southeast Asian side. Brands ship to a Korean consolidation point; buyers see one all-in price with VAT and customs included.
- Mediates disputes.7-day return window on defective items. Yumebana mediates, splits cost by cause per published policy. Brands don't face surprise chargebacks.
Who runs it
Yumebana is operated by Steven Kwak (곽병권) — Korean native, with prior work in Japan and the United States. The operator handles Korean and English directly, reads Chinese and Japanese, and works with Vietnamese and Thai through professional translation. There is no agent layer between brands and buyers, which means no translation tax and no margin lost to a middle layer.
